With the onset of specialization the Top Ten was changed to the Top Fives and contains the top results in each of the five Breeding Directions: Dressage, Jumper, Hunter, Gelders and Harness. To qualify for the Top Fives, horses must earn a First Premium or Star rating in the inspection classes, or a passing score in the IBOP classes.
This means that horses with Register A papers being inspected for studbook are not eligible for inclusion in the Top Fives unless all requirements have been met.
Placement of mares, geldings and stallions is based on: a) on overall Linear score (Conformation and Movement/Jumping) and b) on the score for movement or jumping.
